Race day starts with check-in at the Hiroshima City Yuki Exchange Experience Center, where you'll receive your bib and any race materials. There may be a mandatory kit check. The event combines a festival atmosphere with outdoor activities, so expect a lively scene. Both the Long Course (approx. 32km) and Short Course (approx. 13km) start and finish at the center. Arrive early to allow time for parking, check-in, and warm-up.
The trails in Yuki are natural mountain paths with significant elevation gain. Wear trail running shoes with good grip. Dress in moisture-wicking layers and prepare for variable weather in October—it can be cool and wet. A lightweight waterproof jacket is advisable. Bring a hydration pack, energy gels or snacks, and a basic first-aid kit. Poles can help on steep climbs and descents.
