Yucaipa Adventure Company LLC organises a calendar of endurance events in and around Yucaipa, California. Three of them take place at El Dorado Ranch Park, a night mountain bike race in September, a last person standing elimination run in December and a mountain bike classic in January, while the October event is an eight hour timed trail run on a 3.70 mile loop in Wildwood Canyon State Park. Check-in opens between one and one and a half hours before every start, and entries for each race are handled through UltraSignup. The Spokes and Shadows Night MTB Race, The Wrath Of Krampus and the Hops and Spokes Mountain Bike Classic all take place at El Dorado Ranch Park in Yucaipa, California. The Wildwood Canyon Trail Run is held at Wildwood Canyon State Park, also in Yucaipa.
Check-in opens 60 to 90 minutes before each start. It is 6:00 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. Spokes and Shadows race, 6:30 a.m. for the 8:00 a.m. Wildwood Canyon start, 4:30 p.m. for the 6:00 p.m. Wrath Of Krampus start, and 6:30 a.m. for the 8:00 a.m. Hops and Spokes start.
It is an eight hour timed event on a 3.70 mile looped course. Runners set off at 8:00 a.m. and complete as many loops as they can before the eight hours run out, and they can stop whenever they choose.
In that format the field keeps going until only one competitor is left. The Wrath Of Krampus uses exactly that set-up, starting at 6:00 p.m. on 11 December 2026 at El Dorado Ranch Park.
The Spokes and Shadows race starts at 7:00 p.m. and continues in darkness, so a working front and rear light is essential. The organiser has not published a mandatory kit list, so contact the race director if you are unsure about anything else.
