Yorkshire Trail Runs (Yorkshire New Year Trail Runs 2028 at Harewood House)

On race morning, go to the event registration area at Harewood House to collect your race number and timing chip. You will need your confirmation email or ID. There are separate starts for the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon, so listen for announcements and allow plenty of time before your wave. Live chip timing means your time starts when you cross the timing mat.

Many trail events welcome walkers in the shorter distances, but check the specific race rules and cut-off times. The 5K and 10K are likely more walker-friendly than the half marathon. If you plan to walk, start near the back to avoid blocking faster runners, and make sure you can finish within any time limit.

You can expect basic event facilities such as toilets and a bag drop area (check on the day). There will be water and likely some food available, but it is a good idea to bring your own supplies for before and after your race. Harewood House itself has a café and visitor facilities, which may be open.

The organiser provides medical support, likely at the start/finish and at points on the course, with first aid trained marshals. The route is marked through gardens, woodlands and farmland, but you should still carry a phone and know the emergency procedure. If you see a runner in trouble, alert the nearest marshal immediately.
