The 50K route traverses the scenic heart of the Hengchun Peninsula, guiding runners to the southernmost 'Xiaobaiyue' peak—a symbolic edge of Taiwan surrounded by ocean on three sides. While total elevation gain is modest, the course features continuous undulating terrain and a wide range of surfaces: technical root systems, uneven riverbeds, loose gravel, and expansive grasslands.

Trail running shoes with good grip are essential due to technical roots, riverbeds, gravel, and grass. Consider gaiters to keep out debris. Poles can be helpful for the undulating terrain, though not mandatory.
