The Szeged Charity Half Marathon starts and finishes in Erzsébet Liget, a green park in the heart of Szeged, and packs a full winter themed race family into one Sunday morning. Adults head out on the city's certified roads and paved paths for the half marathon, the 10 km and the 6 km, while the youngest runners take on shorter loops of 3 km, 1 km and 500 m. Both the 21 km and the 10 km courses carry AIMS certification, and the half marathon can also be completed as a two or four person relay, with three change points marked along the way. Runners pick up chip timing, a unique finisher medal at the line, refreshments on the course and at the finish, free downloadable photos and a certificate, with changing rooms, showers and a bag store a short walk from the race centre. Official pace runners lead the half marathon field to 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30, and every finisher must be home by 13:00.
