Runners tackle the winter landscape of the Hunsrück-Hochwald Nature Park on three challenging trail courses. The routes feature a high proportion of single trail and many technical sections through the forest around Weiskirchen. Winter conditions, including snow and cold, demand autonomy and the mandatory gear. The start and finish are at the Hochwaldhalle, where participants can use showers and enjoy a cake buffet and warm meals.

The X-MAS Trail is a winter trail running event in the Hunsrück-Hochwald Nature Park with three distances: Brian Trail (15.5 km), Ruprecht Trail (33.5 km), and X-MAS Trail (46.8 km).
The race generally takes place in all weather. If there is a storm or extreme weather, the organiser may interrupt or cancel the race. No refund will be given in case of cancellation.
Yes, you can switch to another distance by emailing [email protected]. No refund is given for switching to a shorter distance.
After the race, participants can use showers, changing rooms, and a cake buffet with warm meals. Bag storage is available.
