The league runs for eleven Wednesday nights and is built as a winter fitness challenge, so runners are encouraged to attend as many nights as they can. The page does not state a minimum number of nights required to take part.
It must be a proper high visibility vest. A luminous or bright t-shirt is not accepted. If you arrive without a high vis vest you will not be allowed to run, and there are no exceptions to this rule.
The league is about learning to judge your own effort rather than relying on a screen. Your aim each week is to run the same time as the previous week or a little faster, and your time is published shortly after the run. If you wear a watch your time will not be recorded.
The league opens on Wednesday 4 November 2026 and runs for seven nights up to Wednesday 16 December. It resumes after Christmas on Wednesday 6 January 2027 for four more nights, finishing on Wednesday 27 January 2027.
Yes. The organisers' stated mission is to introduce as many people as possible to running and jogging, and the short route of roughly 2.5 miles exists for exactly that. Pace does not matter, and slower runners and joggers are explicitly welcome.
