Distance
Terrain
Runners cover as many laps as they wish of a 3.28 mile (5.28 km) circuit around Coate Water Country Park in Swindon, with distances ranging from a single 5 km lap up to ten miles, half marathon, marathon and beyond. The course mixes well maintained gravel and tarmac paths with lakeside tracks and woodland trails, and it stays largely flat apart from a few short undulations, so road shoes work well. Every lap crosses the spiral concrete Curly Wurly bridge before heading along a woodland railway path. An aid station sits at the start and finish of each lap and stocks race nutrition with vegan and gluten free choices, while a cafe in the park and a nearby pub cover food and drink around the venue. Completing at least one lap earns an official time, all finishers receive a unique medal, and the event supports the British Legion. Places are limited to manage numbers on the paths and the bridge.

Other questions
Everyone runs the same 3.28 mile (5.28 km) circuit and you complete as many laps as you wish before the event cutoff. You choose your goal in advance, whether that is one lap for 5 km or eight laps for a marathon, and lap counting is managed on course. Completing at least one lap records an official time.
The format is deliberately flexible. Enter for the distance that suits you, then run as many laps as you wish within the cutoff. If you feel good you can keep going past your target, and if you stop early your laps are still recorded.
