Overview

Set in the beautiful countryside around Aldbury, this festive charity event offers participants a choice of a guided 8km trail run or a relaxed 4km walk. Runners and walkers are encouraged to don their finest Christmas fancy dress and take in the local trails at their own pace. The morning wraps up with a free mince pie for every finisher, while hot drinks and mulled wine are available from Church Farm Cafe.

Getting There

Tring Station is 15 minutes' walk from the start. Regular trains from London Euston to Tring take about 40 minutes.

09:00 Registration opens, 09:30 8k Run starts, 10:00 4k Walk starts, 11:30 Event finishes.

Public transportThe nearest station is Tring, about 15 minutes' walk from Church Farm. Regular trains from London Euston to Tring take approximately 40 minutes. You will need to arrange your own transport from the station.

Course markingBoth distances are guided by qualified run leaders, so you won't need to navigate yourself.

Before you enter

DogsYes, dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. If you plan to run with your dog, you must have appropriate canicross equipment; dogs attached via a collar and lead are not accepted.

Other questions

Yes, the event is designed for all abilities and ages. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the run, and participants under 18 must have parental/guardian consent.

Yes, fancy dress is encouraged and there is a prize for the best Christmas outfit.

Yes, there is a minimum group size for all Run The Wild events. Travel arrangements should only be made once we have confirmed the event is going ahead in writing.
