Both races start and finish at Avondale Forest Park in Rathdrum, County Wicklow, on a looped course that mixes country roads with hardcore-surfaced forest trails. The half marathon and the 10 km are chip timed, every finisher receives a medal, and walkers are welcome on the shorter distance. The day doubles as a fundraiser: everyone who registers is given an online fundraising page, and the money raised goes to Wicklow Hospice, a purpose-built 15 bed specialist palliative care facility where patients are cared for either in the hospice or in their own homes. Route maps and further event details are due to be published by the organiser closer to race day.
