The Westfield 7.5km Trail Race is a picturesque loop around the village of Westfield in East Sussex, run on the Sunday between Christmas and New Year. More than 80 percent of the route is off road, following trails that offer superb views and pass some well known local landmarks, while the trail surface means the advertised 7.5km distance is approximate. The course is fully marked and marshalled, and entries are capped at 60 runners to stop the village being overwhelmed with cars. Registration opens at Westfield Community Hall at 12.30pm, the race sets off at 1.30pm, and tea and cake are served in the hall afterwards. Prizes go to the first male and first female finishers.
