Wendover Woods, part of the Forestry England landscape on the edge of the Chiltern Hills, is a scenic but demanding setting of 325 hectares of steeply undulating woodland. Runners cover the routes on mature forest tracks and gravel paths, with around 181 metres of elevation gain shaping the effort, so steady pacing and confident footing matter. Clear waymarking, supportive marshals and spectacular views accompany each distance, and every race finishes in the event village. A junior race runs in the early afternoon, which suits a family day out alongside the Gruffalo trail, Go Ape and other activities in the woods.

The festival offers a Half Marathon, a 10k, a 5k and a Junior Race over 1 km. Every distance is run as a single lap of its course through Wendover Woods.
Yes, there is a secure area for baggage. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, so tear it off and fix it to your bag. To collect your bag, show your race number to the staff, who will help you find it.

Spectators are very welcome. The organisers advise staying in the event village, where you can see the start and finish. If you walk onto the course, please be respectful of the runners.
