Other questions
Expect a race-day check-in, possible mandatory kit check, and a pre-race briefing before the start. For the 50K, arrive early to allow time for parking, bib collection, and walking to the start. The briefing will cover course marking, aid stations, cut-off times, and emergency procedures. Exact timings will be in the final race instructions.
Rainforest and escarpment trails can be wet, muddy, rocky, and rooty. Wear aggressive trail-running shoes with good grip, and consider gaiters to keep debris out. Dress in moisture-wicking layers, carry a lightweight waterproof jacket, and prepare for cool mornings, warm afternoons, and possible rain. Avoid cotton.
