Vila Wild Trail

The longer distances typically start first in separate waves, while the shorter distances follow. All races share the same start and finish line in Aldeia da Ribeira. Follow the instructions from race marshals for your specific wave. Your finish time will be recorded, and you will receive your medal after crossing the line.

The closest major airports are Porto (OPO) and Lisbon (LIS), each about a 3–4 hour drive from Aldeia da Ribeira. Public transport options are limited, so most participants rent a car. Smaller airports at Viseu or Guarda may exist for regional connections, but for international travelers, Porto is often the most convenient choice.

Use trail running shoes with good grip and ankle support, as the course may be technical and expose you to rocky or uneven ground. For the 24 km distance, a hydration pack or belt with water and energy gels is important. Walking poles can be helpful for steep climbs, especially in the longer races. Practice on similar terrain to test your gear.
