Other questions
The race is a fully closed loop starting and finishing in the Vittorio Veneto area and passing through Cappella Maggiore and Sarmede. Expect road closures, bib pickup/check-in before the start, a warm-up area, and a finish zone with refreshments. Exact timings, bag drop and start corrals are TBC, so read the final race instructions and arrive at least 60–90 minutes early.
Road running shoes are the best choice because the course is almost entirely asphalt; the 800 m dirt track is levelled and compacted, so trail shoes are not necessary unless it is very wet. March weather in Veneto can be cool, windy or rainy, so bring layers, a light waterproof jacket, gloves/headband, and anti-chafe protection. Test everything in training.
The route is a fully closed loop with marshals and signage, but if you are unsure, follow the official arrows and other runners rather than taking shortcuts. Carry a charged phone and the organiser’s emergency contact. If you cannot continue, move off the road safely and wait for a marshal or sweep vehicle; do not rejoin the course without permission.
The nearest airports are Venice Marco Polo (VCE) and Treviso (TSF); Vittorio Veneto also has a train station on the Venice–Udine line. From the station, the start area is likely reachable by walk, taxi or local bus, but confirm race-day options. A rental car is useful for exploring the Prosecco hills, though parking and road closures may be restrictive on race morning.
