The Vét'O Trail takes place in Marcy-l'Étoile, in the hills west of Lyon within the Rhône department, on Sunday 25 April 2027. Runners choose between a 20 kilometre, a 12 kilometre and a 6 kilometre trail course, plus a 5 kilometre canicross race run with a dog. The day is organised around the VetAgro Sup campus site and the surrounding countryside paths, with all distances starting and finishing in the same area so supporters can follow the racing. Full course maps, start times and entry details are published on the organiser's own website as race day approaches.

Yes, supporters are welcome. Because the courses are lapped around the Marcy-l'Étoile area, spectators can usually walk between points to see runners more than once. The organiser confirms the best viewing spots on race day.
Trail races normally go ahead in rain, but the organiser may shorten or cancel a course if conditions become unsafe. Any change is announced on the official website and social channels, so check before travelling.
The 6 km course is the shortest option and is the usual starting point for newcomers, while the 20 km suits runners with some off-road experience. Choose a distance that matches your current training rather than the one your friends are doing.
