The Urban Trail Hérouville takes runners through the streets and open spaces of Hérouville-Saint-Clair, a town on the northern edge of Caen in Normandy. Two courses make up the day, the 15 km La Grande Couronne and the shorter 10 km La Beauregard Express, both run in an urban trail style that blends paved town streets with parkland and unsurfaced paths. The next edition is set for Saturday 3 April 2027, with the town itself acting as the start, finish and backdrop for the whole event.

The organiser's own website, urbantrailherouville.fr, carries the confirmed start times, entry fees, registration links and any last minute changes. Always check it before you travel, as listings on third party calendars can lag behind.
Urban trails of this kind are normally marked with tape, arrows and marshals at key junctions. Confirmed marking details and any map downloads are published by the organiser on the official event website before race day.
Yes. Because the race runs through the town, spectators can move between points on the course on foot and see runners more than once. The town centre streets make natural gathering spots.
Some French town races accept late entries at bib collection if places remain, but many sell out in advance. Registering early through the organiser's website is the safest option.
