UNIRUN, La cursa de les universitats, is a 7 kilometre road race staged in the El Besòs i el Maresme district of Barcelona. Runners cover a compact city course on paved streets within the neighbourhood, with the university community of the city turning out alongside club runners and local entrants. The 2027 edition takes place on Sunday 7 March. Final route, timings and race day information are published on the organiser's website.

What to bring
Bib with chip must be worn visibly on the front of the chest for the whole race - not on a backpack or in a pocket
Do not tamper with the chip attached to the back of the bib
Present the registration receipt and an official ID document to collect the bib and t-shirt

The race is built around the university community of Barcelona, but the organiser publishes the exact eligibility rules with the entry information on unirun.cat, so check there before you sign up.
The organiser makes any decision about postponement or cancellation and communicates it through unirun.cat and their social channels. Check those sources on the morning of the race before you travel.
The 12th edition of Unirun is held on Sunday 1 March 2026. The race starts at 09:30 at the Gran Explanada del Parc del Fòrum.
Participation is open to everyone: university students, alumni, future students, lecturers, staff, suppliers, family members or supporters of any of the 12 Catalan universities. When registering, the runner must identify with one university.
