Route

Two-stage race over Saturday and Sunday. The course takes runners through mossy forests, alongside tranquil lakes, past Stone Age hill forts and along many pine covered trails. The route may change slightly each year depending on weather, permissions and other factors.

Getting There

Fly into Helsinki, then train or hire car to Lahti (1 hour). Participants responsible for own travel.

Race Day

Saturday 27 June: Ultra X 110 (both multi-stage and single-stage) start. Sunday 28 June: Ultra X 50 start and second stage of multi-stage 110.

ShuttleBus transfer from Lahti to start line on Sunday morning available for £15.

Public transportFly into Helsinki, then take a train or hire car to Lahti (about 1 hour). Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation. Reduced hotel rates are available through a partnership with Visit Lahti.

Course markingYes, the course is fully marked. GPX files are also provided to runners in the week before the race.

Before you enter

RefundsWithdrawal more than 120 days before start: full refund minus deposit (£200 for 2-stage, £400 for 5-stage). Less than 120 days: no refund. Transfer to another event or credit possible more than 6 weeks before start. Less than 6 weeks: 50% race credit for same event next year if notice given at least 9 days before start.

TransfersYes, entries can be transferred to friends up to 6 weeks before the start. There is a £50 administration fee for transfers.

DeferralsPregnancy deferral: 100% race credit valid for 3 years with medical proof.

If the race is cancelledIf event cancelled due to circumstances beyond control, entry fee refunded minus non-recoverable costs. For COVID-19, full refund or credit offered.

Bad weatherEvent may be modified, delayed or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

Minimum ageParticipants must be aged 20 or older on race day.
