Ultra X 110 Madeira 2026 - 110K Multi-Stage

In the multi-stage format the 110 kilometre route is split into stages run across consecutive days rather than in one continuous effort. For the 2026 edition this means running on 31 October and 1 November, with an overall limit of 40 hours to complete the whole thing.

Madeira is reached by air, with the island's international airport at Santa Cruz on the south-east coast close to Machico, where the race starts. The ITRA listing does not include transfer or shuttle arrangements, so check the Ultra X event page for any official transport options.

The route is on Madeira trail, on an island known for its green mountains, dramatic cliffs and natural pools carved out of lava rock. With 7,363 metres of climbing spread over the distance, expect sustained ascent and descent rather than flat running.

The ITRA listing does not state the rules on support crews, pacers or outside assistance. These are decided by the organiser, so check the Ultra X event page and the race briefing before making plans.

Madeira's mountain weather can change quickly and the event runs in late autumn. The ITRA listing does not set out a weather, cancellation or refund policy, so those terms should be confirmed directly with the organiser.
