Ultra Trail Cao Bang takes runners through the rugged mountains, dense forests and river valleys of Cao Bang province in northern Vietnam. The routes run almost entirely on trail, over hilly ground that mixes single track with wider valley paths and passes waterfalls, rivers and remote rural villages. Six distances share the weekend, from a 10km opener at Ban Gioc Waterfall up to a 160km journey that sets off on Friday afternoon. Entries include chip timing, a shuttle to the start line, staffed drink and nutrition stations, medical assistance, bag drop and toilets, with a finisher medal and event t-shirt for everyone who completes their race.

Other questions
Yes for the longer races. The 42K asks for a completed chip-timed trail race of 21km or more, the 70K asks for 42km or more, the 100K asks for 70km or more, and the 160K asks for a chip-timed ultra of 70km or more with at least 3,000m of elevation gain. In every case the result needs a verifiable online link, such as 5BIB, Sportstats, Truerace or the organiser's official results page. The 10K and 25K have no stated qualification requirement.
Cao Bang sits in far northern Vietnam, several hours by road from Hanoi. The event page does not publish travel arrangements, so plan your onward road journey to Cao Bang in advance and confirm the latest travel guidance with the organiser closer to race weekend.
