The 52 km course crosses seven passes and adds up to roughly 8,400 m of climbing and descending. It is an extremely technical skyrunning route where moraines, snowfields and exposed ridges appear the whole way, and fixed ropes protect the key sections so runners can pass safely.

The next edition is provisionally scheduled for 21 August 2027. The race is held on a Saturday, with the Sunday kept free as a reserve day in case of bad weather.
Moraines, snowfields and exposed ridges run with you the whole way round. At the key points the route is equipped with fixed ropes that help runners pass safely.
The race runs on the Saturday and the Sunday is kept in reserve. If conditions will not allow a start, the organiser stages the race the following day.
