The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Reserves 5K takes place in Tobago with a 5K road race and a 1K children's run starting from the TTDF Reserves HQ compound in Tucker Valley. The 5K heads out along Golf Course Road, loops back onto Tucker Valley Road and returns into the compound to finish. Proceeds support the Lady Hochoy Home and Day Training Centre in Cocorite, funding school supplies for its students, and the Reserves describe the event as a statement of inclusion for people with and without challenges. Race morning starts before dawn with warm-ups, a race village, an aerobics burnout session with giveaways, and a prize presentation for the leading overall, masters and age group finishers.

Entries can be paid by credit card or by online bank transfer. Paying by card enrols you instantly. For bank transfers, use account name J. John-Sambrano, Republic Bank Tragarete Road branch, chequing account 290031757601, with the reference TTDF Reserves PromoCode. After paying, take a screenshot of the completed payment and WhatsApp it to 757 3319 together with the account holder's name and a breakdown of the payment.
Entries carry a basic registration fee of TT$150, with t-shirts priced separately at TT$100. Proceeds from the 5K and 1K fund school supplies for students at the Lady Hochoy School, in partnership with the Lady Hochoy Home and Day Training Centre, Cocorite. Every registration helps buy those supplies.
The event is billed as a 5k/1k walk and run, so walkers are welcome alongside runners on both the 5 km and 1 km routes.
Finishers receive a customised finisher medal, a customised race bib and a goodie bag. Event t-shirts are available to buy separately for TT$100 if you would like one.
Runners and walkers gather in the race village at the host location, where there is an aerobics burnout session with giveaways and the prize presentation.
