The 2027 edition is listed for Sunday 2 May 2027, but that date is provisional. Check the official event website before making travel plans.
Early May on the Adriatic coast is usually mild, with typical race-day temperatures between 15 and 22 degrees Celsius. The bora wind can blow strongly, so a light windproof layer is worth packing.
Trieste's seafront and city squares make comfortable viewing points, and spectators can move around the centre easily on foot.
Hotels in the city centre put you within walking distance of the start area. Booking early is advisable for the first weekend in May.
Participation is open to athletes with a valid FIDAL membership, Runcard holders with a valid competitive medical certificate for athletics, and foreign athletes registered with federations recognised by World Athletics. A non-competitive Tourist Run option is available to foreign athletes. Minimum age: 20 years for the 42K and 18 years for the 21K, to be turned within the race year.
