Trail Solidario a Favor de ADELA - Brihuega

Walkers are explicitly catered for. Alongside the 8 km trail there is a marked 8 km senderismo route and a shorter 3 km senderismo route, both of which suit people who want to take part at a walking pace rather than race.

It takes place in Brihuega, a historic town in the province of Guadalajara within the Castilla-La Mancha region of central Spain. Brihuega sits roughly 100 km northeast of Madrid and around 30 km from Guadalajara city.

The event is billed as a trail, so expect a mix of dirt tracks, footpaths and country roads around Brihuega rather than an entirely paved course. Trail shoes are a sensible choice, especially if the autumn weather has been wet.

Chip timing is not mentioned for this event. Many small charity trail races in Spain are untimed or use simple manual recording, so treat results as secondary to taking part unless the organiser states otherwise.

The event is described as a trail solidario held in favour of ADELA, the Spanish association supporting people affected by ALS and their families. Entry fees and any donations collected on the day go towards that cause.
