The 10 km course is the natural starting point for anyone new to trail running, while the 20 km option asks for more time on the feet and some experience of uneven ground.
It is a village in the Bragança district of north-east Portugal, in the Trás-os-Montes region. The nearest larger town is Mirandela, around 27 km away, and the area is rural and hilly.
Late autumn in Trás-os-Montes is typically cool and changeable, with rain possible and cold mornings. Bring layered clothing and a light waterproof, and check the forecast close to race day.
No mandatory kit list has been published for this event. For a 20 km trail on exposed rural ground it is sensible to carry water, a phone and a light jacket, and to follow any list the organiser publishes closer to the date.
