Held every year on the last weekend of February, the Trail du Val d'Egray offers four courses across two days. The Saturday night nocturne covers 18.5 km with time barriers at the 8.3 km aid station and at km 12.6. On Sunday, runners can choose between 25 km, 11.5 km or the mini trail of 11.5 km, or combine Saturday with Sunday through the Défi Long or Défi Court challenges. The route is supervised by club volunteers and signallers, who monitor the time barriers set for the night race and the 25 km. The page does not describe the ground underfoot in detail.
