The Trail du Renard Givré takes place in Cottenchy, a village in the Somme department of northern France, on Saturday 30 January 2027. Runners choose between a 20 kilometre trail and a shorter 10 kilometre course, and both distances can be tackled solo, with the 20 km also offered as a relay. A 10 kilometre night walk rounds out the programme, so the day mixes racing with a relaxed evening stroll through the surrounding countryside. Ground underfoot is a mix of rural paths, tracks and field edges typical of the Picardy plains, and winter conditions can bring frost, mud and cold wind.

Yes. The 20 kilometre course is offered in a relay format alongside the solo option, so pairs or teams can share the distance between them.
The 10 kilometre night walk is a non-competitive evening walk over the same area of countryside. A head torch and warm, reflective clothing are sensible for walking after dark in January.
