The Trail du Moulin de l'Epinay sends runners out on country paths around La Chapelle-Saint-Florent in Maine-et-Loire, with a choice of a 9 km discovery trail or a 20 km trail. The routes are built around the Moulin de l'Epinay, a working windmill that looks out across the Loire and Evre valleys, and they thread through the hairpin bends that the Evre has carved at Coulaine. Runners also pass Courrossé, a natural site protected since 1995. The event is organised by the association Un Village Un Moulin with the commune of La Chapelle Saint Florent, and competitors must present an athletics licence or a valid health certificate (PPS) on the day.
