The Trail du Bostet takes place in La Léchère, in the Savoie department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, on the mountain ground above the Isère valley. Runners pick between four options on the same day: a 36 km course called L'intégrale du Bostet, a half marathon known as Le Bostet, an 11 km race called Le Bost'express and a 5 km race called Donne Ton Souffle. The programme is staged by Team Bostet, a local club, and the whole day is built around trails rather than roads. Details of the routes, start times and entry fees for the 2027 edition are published on the organiser's website.

The next edition is scheduled for Saturday 5 June 2027 in La Léchère, Savoie. The organiser confirms the final date and any changes on the Team Bostet website, so check there before booking travel.
There are four: a 36 km race (L'intégrale du Bostet), a half marathon (Le Bostet), an 11 km race (Le Bost'express) and a 5 km race (Donne Ton Souffle). Each has its own start and its own route on the day.
The 5 km and the 11 km are the shortest options, and the 5 km is the gentlest introduction to running off road. Anyone moving up from road races usually finds the half marathon a sensible next step. The 36 km is the long day out and needs proper trail preparation.
The event is based in La Léchère, a commune in the Savoie department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-east France, in the Isère valley near Albertville. The precise start area and village are published by the organiser closer to race day.
Yes. Village-based starts and finishes at small French trail events are usually easy places to watch, and the shorter races in particular stay close to the event base. The organiser publishes recommended spots on the course.
