Trail do Viso is held in Guisande, a village in the Aveiro district of northern Portugal, on Sunday 25 October 2026. Entrants choose between a 16 km trail run and an 8 km caminhada, a non-competitive walk, so the morning brings runners and walkers out onto the same countryside paths. The event is a trail outing rather than a road race, with the ground underfoot and the rolling terrain around the parish shaping how hard the day feels. Entries are handled online through the Lap2Go registration platform, and the organiser's own website carries the most recent information on routes, start times and race-day arrangements.

Other questions
The 8 km option is listed as a caminhada, which means walk. It is the relaxed, non-competitive side of the event, so it suits families, walkers and anyone who wants a shorter outing on the same paths used by the trail runners.
Late October in northern Portugal typically brings mild, changeable autumn weather, with temperatures in the mid teens and a real chance of rain. Dress in layers, expect damp ground underfoot and check the forecast in the final days before travelling.
Only people aged 18 or over can participate in the Trail. In the Caminhada, minors under 18 may participate only if accompanied by an adult.
