Other questions
Expect a local trail-race atmosphere in Labenne, with separate starts or waves for the 14K trail, the 14K walk, the 10K walk and the Course des Chouettons. You will usually need to collect your bib before the start, attend a short briefing, and possibly pass a kit check. The 14K route includes about 116 m of elevation and takes place on trail surface, so allow time for warm-up, bag drop and toilet queues. Finish-line refreshments are common at French trail events, but exact details will be confirmed closer to the date.
Trail races like Trail des Chouettes typically provide first-aid stations, sweepers and marshals with radio contact to the organiser. Emergency numbers are often printed on the bib, and in France you can call 112 for emergency services. Carry a phone, know your approximate location on the course, and alert the nearest marshal if you or another runner needs help. The 14K route is relatively short, but November weather and muddy trails can still cause slips or cold-related issues.
