The Trail de la Ligne Rouge runs alongside the Ultratrail de la Ligne Rouge, offering 10 km, 21 km, 43 km and 101 km courses out of Thiescourt in the Oise. Runners set off on the trace of the poilus of the First World War along a long-distance footpath that is still being created and will eventually let walkers follow the red line on foot, a route built together with the villages it crosses. The ground underfoot is plain-country trail with no obstacles, often muddy in the way that recalls the trenches. The 101 km can also be covered by relay teams of two to eight runners or entered as part of the inter-village and company challenge.
