Bib collection usually takes place at the race HQ in Champigneulles, either on race morning or the day before. Bring photo ID and your registration confirmation. If the organizer applies mandatory kit checks, arrive with your kit ready to show. Because the 14K, 14K Nordic walking, 4h, and 8h events may share facilities, allow extra time for queues, especially before the main trail starts.

The 23K starts in Champigneulles and follows marked trail routes through the Bellefontaine area. Exact start waves or mass-start procedures will be confirmed in the race briefing. At the finish, you will likely cross a timing line, receive your result, and find water or light refreshments. Keep your bib visible throughout the race and follow marshal instructions at the start and finish zones.

Wear trail running shoes with good grip for wet leaves, mud, roots, and possibly slippery descents. Dress in breathable layers with a waterproof and windproof jacket, plus gloves, a buff, and a spare pair of socks in your bag. Avoid cotton. November conditions near Nancy can be cold and damp, so plan for rain and changing temperatures. Test all clothing and shoes on long training runs before race day.

Train on wet, muddy, and leaf-covered trails so you are comfortable with reduced grip and slower paces. Practice with the hydration, nutrition, and clothing you plan to use on race day, including a waterproof jacket and spare socks. Do some tempo runs and hill sessions, then taper for one to two weeks. Test your fueling plan on long runs, because cold weather can reduce thirst and make it easy to under-hydrate.
