The Trail Città di Malnate is a 10 km race that runs entirely on woodland paths around Malnate, in the province of Varese, northern Italy. Runners set off from via Settembrini at the entrance to the cycle path towards San Salvatore, cover the full distance under the trees, and finish at the Diodona Spazio & Ristorante on via Hermada 20. Trail shoes are recommended because the whole route is on forest trail. The second edition, run as a memorial to Enzo Pronesti, forms part of the Walter Coppe Challenge and the Insubrico Run Italia-Svizzera circuit, and the day closes with prizes for the first three men and women, a special award for the largest group and meal vouchers for the winners from local restaurants.
