The eighteenth edition of the Vitoria-Gasteiz Marathon Martín Fiz brings thousands of runners and skaters onto the wide streets of the Basque Country's capital for a single-day festival of popular sport. The road course rolls out from Paseo de Cervantes and follows an out-and-back route through the city before returning to the same spot. Marathon and half marathon runners set off at 08:30, with the 10K and 5K starting just over an hour later. Every finisher collects a medal, an event T-shirt and an electronic diploma, with chip timing, pace teams, photo service and parking all part of the entry.

Other questions
Changes of distance or of the name on the registration are accepted up to 22 April 2027. After that date no further changes can be made, so anyone hoping to switch races or hand over a bib should contact the organisers well before then.
No. A one-day licence is included in the entry fee, so runners without a federation licence can take part without arranging anything extra.
The route is entirely on road and has a rolling profile rather than a flat one, with the marathon and half marathon run as an out-and-back route that starts and finishes on Paseo de Cervantes. The course threads through the main streets of Vitoria-Gasteiz, so runners pass through the city centre more than once and spectators can see them repeatedly without travelling far.
Yes. Chip timing with a single-use timing chip is included in the entry, and results are published afterwards, along with an electronic certificate and diploma for finishers. Participants also receive a custom bib number.
Yes, pace teams form part of the event and are included in the entry, so runners chasing a particular finish time can join the group for their target.
