The Toda Marathon in Saiko is organised by Toda City and is run in Saiko Doman Green Park, a green waterside space known locally as an oasis of water and greenery. The 2026 edition is the 43rd running of the event and, to mark 60 years since Toda became a city, it adds a relay marathon alongside the established half marathon, 10km, 5km and 2km races. Runners set off beside the park athletics stadium and finish at the stadium itself, so the whole race day stays inside the park. Number cards and timing chips are posted out in advance rather than collected on the day, a free shuttle bus runs from JR Kita-Toda Station, and finishers receive event original goods along with drinks and soup.

No. This event has no race day check-in. Number cards and timing chips are posted to entrants in advance, so remember to bring them with you on the day.
Teams of five runners, junior high school age and above, enter one of three divisions: men's, women's or mixed. Legs one and two cover about 2km each and legs three to five about 5km each. One representative may enter several teams, but be careful not to submit duplicate entries. At entry you provide each member's name, sex, date of birth, emergency contact number, address and parental consent for minors. Running order is not fixed at entry and can be decided freely within the team.
The 2km Family race is for teams of two or three people and must include one child aged 5 to elementary school age and one adult aged 18 or over. The entry is made in the name of the adult who will run with the child, and a third member must be at least 5 years old.
