A midweek fell and trail race of roughly 6.2 miles / 10 km with about 850 ft / 259 m of ascent. The course is marshalled at the major turning points, so it suits runners who are comfortable on rough moorland tracks but do not want to navigate every junction themselves.

Yes. Entry is available online in advance or on the night if the race is not full, and the fee is £8 either way.
The start is at the beginning of Houndkirk Road, above the Fox House pub on Hathersage Road on the edge of Sheffield.
Competitors who wish to retire must inform Race Control rather than only a marshal, so that everyone can be accounted for.
Race numbers must be worn visibly on the chest and must not be folded or cut down. Numbers may be recorded at checkpoints.
The venue has toilets, food, a bar and parking, making it easy to spend the evening there before and after the race.
