Other questions
You can defer your entry to a different event up to two weeks before the original event is due to take place.
We acknowledge the leading distance run in the 8 hours as 'course records' but we do not consider there to be winners of this event. This is down to the nature of the event and its flexibility and inclusivity of all abilities of runners. We see The Ultra Loop as an individual challenge for each runner to achieve their own goals, rather than a competition.
No. The route is not on a closed course, so please consider that there may be walkers or dog walkers in the area.
With some uphill trail sections of the route but the route being mostly asphalt path, road shoes with good grip are recommended, or light trail shoes that are also fit for road.
There is no required distance. Within the 8-hour time limit you are welcome to run as few or as many 5km loops as you would like to, and everyone who takes part receives a finishing time and a medal.
