Other questions
The course is a single loop, and each distance is made up of a set number of laps. Eight miles is one lap, the half marathon is one and a half laps, and the marathon is three laps. You follow the same distinctive route markers each time round.
The route uses local paths and includes some climbs, so it is not completely flat. It is not technically difficult, but the marathon runners will feel the climbs repeated over three laps.
It follows local paths and footways rather than a closed road circuit, so expect to share some sections with other path users. Take care at any road crossings and follow marshal instructions.
There is. Ales and pub food are available at the event location after the run, which makes the pub finish a big part of the day for runners and supporters.
Supporters are welcome. The pub base gives them somewhere to settle in with food and drink, and the looped nature of the course means runners pass through the same areas more than once.
