The event is run over ten legs with varying lengths.
At least two legs must be run by female runners. For teams entered as mostly female, up to two legs may be run by male runners. Competitors may run more than one leg, provided each leg is completed in full and all changeovers take place at the designated locations.
Yes, teams are responsible for their own route planning and on‑day support.
The route is not fully marked; entrants are advised to recce their leg in advance.
Teams compete for a trophy on the basis of the shortest total time to complete the course.
