The 2027 edition is scheduled for Saturday 6 February 2027. The organisers advise checking the Sleaford Town Runners website before travelling, in case of any change to the date or arrangements.
The surface is varied and mostly on farmer's tracks, with trail sections, field edges and some short road links. Because the race is in early February, parts of the trail can be muddy.
Trail shoes are suggested for the muddy sections, but road shoes are permitted. Grip is more useful than cushioning on this course, so choose accordingly if the weather has been wet.
Every finisher receives a memento and a goody bag. Trophies and vouchers are awarded to the overall winners and category prizes are presented on race day.
