Flat, sealed walkway and path along the waterfront.

Route

Starts and finishes at Selwyn Reserve in Mission Bay. Runners follow the Mission Bay walkway towards the city to the half marathon turning point, return to the reserve, and repeat the same out-and-back a second time to complete 21.1km.

Getting There

The TāmakiLink (blue bus) runs along Tāmaki Drive from Britomart every 15 minutes from 5:30am, stopping a two-minute walk from the start line. Routes 774 and 775 also run from Britomart, and 781, 782 and 783 serve Mission Bay from other directions. Check the AT Journey Planner the night before.

Saturday 14 November 2026 at Selwyn Reserve, Mission Bay. Start times for the 5K, 10K and half marathon are published on the official event website.

Minimum ageKids are welcome, but for safety and space on the footpath the organisers suggest not running with a buggy. Kids under 13 can participate for free, but no medal, bib or post-run snack is provided; register them officially for the full experience.

Collecting your numberOn the morning from 6:30am at Mission Bay Beach. There is also an opportunity to collect your bib and apparel the day before at Mission Bay, with exact location and time sent by email. If you can't get there in time, someone can collect on your behalf.
