Runners take on a single all-terrain loop across Wimbledon Common, mixing woodland paths, steep hills and heavy mud with a wade through the shallow water of Beverley Brook. The route shows off corners of the Common that few visitors ever find, and it finishes back on the field beside the race HQ at Richardson Evans Memorial Fields. Around 350 runners make for a relaxed, community-minded morning, with marshals around the course, first aid, a bag drop and one water station roughly halfway. Every finisher collects a sticky toffee or chocolate pudding, and tea, coffee and cake stands run alongside the start and finish for runners and spectators.
