The Christmas Run, run in memory of Renzo Molinari, is a 15 kilometre road race staged in the town of Scoppito in the Abruzzo region of Italy. The whole course is on asphalt, taking runners out on the streets and lanes around the town in the days just before Christmas. The race is held on the Sunday of the festive week, so the day carries a seasonal, community feel as well as a competitive one. Entry and timing are handled through the organiser's online registration service.

Other questions
Scoppito sits in the Apennines at around 700 metres of altitude, so late December mornings are typically cold and can be frosty or damp. Snow is possible in the surrounding hills. Bring clothing you can shed as you warm up, and check the forecast in the days before the race.
Scoppito lies a short distance from L'Aquila and is usually reached by car along the A24 motorway from Rome, which takes roughly an hour and a half. The nearest large airports are Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino, with L'Aquila served by regional bus connections. A car makes the final stretch much easier.
The town-centre setting of a 15 km road race usually makes it easy for friends and family to watch from more than one spot without needing transport. The organiser will publish any specific viewing guidance.
The race is named as a memorial to Renzo Molinari, a local figure remembered by the Scoppito running community. The event keeps his name on the start line each December.
