Other questions
Categories 1 to 3 are for JAAF-registered runners and each has its own qualifying standard. Category 4 is open to both registered and unregistered runners. Every entrant must be 19 or over and must hold a qualifying marathon (or equivalent) record.
JAAF registration is compulsory for Categories 1 to 3. You must enter your JAAF ID in your RUNNET My Page, and the entry button does not appear without it. Runners registered with a regional association that no longer issues a registration number should enter 'no number' in the registration number field of their member profile.
During the entry process you upload record certificate data (JPEG or PDF) from a JAAF-certified or AIMS-certified course, then submit it through the application form on the official event website within one week of applying. Submissions by post, fax or email are not accepted. Records set at the Beppu-Oita Mainichi Marathon itself are verified by the organisers and do not need to be submitted. If nothing is submitted in time, the entry becomes invalid.
