The trail runs through the mountains of the Tarentaise valley in Savoie, where it has been held for 36 years. Runners cover mountain paths and high ridges, with options from a 1.5 km children's loop to the 69 km flagship route. Alongside the solo distances there is a three-person relay, a three-day challenge running from Thursday to Saturday, and a family-friendly discovery run. The event carries the eco-responsible event label from the regional social cohesion authority. The 2027 edition runs from 29 to 31 July 2027 and registrations are still to come, so the race list reflects the 2026 edition.
