The full marathon runs over a JAAF-certified 42.195km road course from the outer perimeter road of IiAs Tsukuba to Tsukuba City Hall. It has a six hour limit with cut-off points, and starts in waves between 08:50 and 09:10. Entries are capped at 11,000 runners, and this advance window is open only to people who live, work or study in Tsukuba City.

It is open to people who live, work or study in Tsukuba City. The window runs from 10:00 on 7 June 2026 to 23:59 on 22 June 2026, and only the marathon (42.195km) is available. Applications are accepted only from the runner themselves; group or family entries cannot be used.
After your entry is confirmed and payment completed, you must submit proof of employment or enrolment. Check the event website and upload the document through your RUNNET My Page by the deadline of Wednesday 24 June.
No. Residents of Tsukuba City do not need to submit any documentation.
Duplicate entries are not allowed and each person may enter only one event. Applications are accepted only from the runner themselves, so you cannot enter on behalf of a friend or family member.
If you are registered with a regional athletics association, enter your 2026 registration details in the member information on your My Page before applying. If you are registered with a regional association that no longer issues JAAF registration numbers, enter "no number" in the registration number field. If your application is still being processed, enter "pending" until it is complete.
