The Kimimachi Futatsui Marathon starts and finishes in front of the Futatsui Town General Gymnasium in Noshiro, Akita Prefecture, and offers a half marathon, a 10km and three 4km categories on the same day. The half marathon carries a 2 hour 30 minute limit with cut-off points at 16.7km and 18.3km, while the 10km and 4km races run without a time limit. There is no check-in desk: number cards, timing chips and prize vouchers are posted to runners beforehand, so race day begins with prize collection at the gymnasium before the first start at 09:25. Every entrant receives a T-shirt and a shopping voucher usable at the venue, finishers are served rice balls, Shirakami spring onions and bananas, and a local product fair runs alongside the racing. Half marathon and 10km finishers also enter a draw for places at the Ome and Sapporo marathons.

Yes. Open participation entries are accepted at the Futatsui Town General Gymnasium on 17 October from 10:00 to 16:00 and on 18 October from 07:00 to 09:00. The fee is 500 yen more than the standard entry for each category. Open participants receive a time and a finisher certificate but are not eligible for awards.
No. There is no participant reception desk. Number cards, timing chips and participation prize vouchers are posted to entrants in advance, so you arrive ready to run.
Every pair must include one elementary school pupil. Enter under the name of the older runner and give the partner's name in kana, gender, date of birth, age and T-shirt size at the time of entry.
Yes. Baggage storage is available inside the Futatsui Town General Gymnasium. Valuables cannot be left there.
Every entrant receives a T-shirt and a shopping voucher usable at the venue, and rice balls, Shirakami spring onions and bananas are served at the venue. Half marathon and 10km finishers enter a draw for ten places each at the Ome Marathon and the Sapporo Marathon, four pairs of 4km finishers can win 30kg of Akitakomachi rice, and finishers also enter a draw for Noshiro black wagyu beef.
