The Botchan Run Run Run starts and finishes at Madonna Stadium in Matsuyama Central Park, on a flat course that suits everyone from first-time runners to seasoned racers. A half marathon, a 10km race and the 4.2195km Ichwari Marathon share the same parkland setting, with the half heading off at 9:00 in the morning and the shorter races following at 13:00 and 15:00. Waves are started at intervals to keep the early kilometres comfortable. Every finisher is greeted with sweets, a T-shirt in a choice of ten colours and entry into a draw for running shoes and other gifts. Bibs, timing chips, bib clips and baggage bags are posted out in advance, and results are recorded as net times with a web certificate afterwards.

Entries run from 00:00 on 3 August 2026 to 23:59 on 24 September 2026. Entry closes early if the field fills, even inside that window.
Four items: your athlete bib (number card), bib clips, timing chip and baggage storage bag. All are posted to you in advance and must be brought on the day. Fasten the bib with the clips supplied and avoid safety pins. Keep valuables with you, as the baggage area does not accept them.
Yes, baggage storage is available for everything except valuables. Place your bag in the storage bag posted to you and hand it in during the window for your race: 7:30 to 8:30 for the half marathon, 11:30 to 12:30 for the 10km and 13:30 to 14:30 for the Ichwari Marathon. Your number card number is needed to collect it.
Sweets are handed out to finishers, and everyone who took part can enter a prize draw with running shoes from On, HOKA and other brands among the gifts.
The organiser takes out sports injury insurance for the event.
